No. 3 must intriguing game on Jaguars schedule: Week 16 @ NY Jets.

This is the only primetime game the Jaguars got in 2022, and it should have a significantly better outcome than the last one they had. Last year, Jacksonville took on the Cincinnati Bengals on Thursday Night Football. They lost wide receiver DJ Chark Jr. and right guard A.J. Cann to season-ending injuries but that wasn’t the worst part.

After the game, which the Jaguars lost, Urban Meyer decided to stay in Ohio rather than fly back with the team to spend the weekend with the grandkids but he was caught behaving inappropriately with a young woman that wasn’t his wife. Meyer was responsible for many blunders during his short stint in Jacksonville but this was one of the worse.

Later in the year and with Darrell Bevell as the interim head coach, the Jags took on the New York Jets. This was a pretty close matchup. Jacksonville could have won it but they couldn’t seal the deal and ended up losing 26-21.

Just like the Jaguars, the Jets made several upgrades this offseason and expected their young quarterback to make a leap in Year 2. Both Trevor Lawrence and Zach Wilson be forever linked because they went first and second overall in last year’s draft. Week 16 will be a good time to see how they’re coming along.
