No. 4 must intriguing game on Jaguars schedule: Week 18 vs. Titans.

It’s been a couple of years since the Jaguars last beat the Tennesse Titans. Although the date and place for the season finale have been announced, the time is yet to be determined. While it’s unlikely that this game will be moved to primetime, this could be an enticing matchup for several reasons.

It’s unlikely that the Jags will be in the thick of the playoff race but the Titans might be and you know how things turned out for the Indianapolis Colts in the 2021 season finale. All Indy had to do to qualify for the postseason was beat a Jacksonville team that was sitting on an eight-game losing skid. Simple, right? Not so much, as the Jags went on to dominate the Colts and win in a convincing fashion.

With nothing to play for, the Jaguars could once again play spoilers and put an end to Tennesee’s season. One thing that could tip the scale in Jacksonville’s favor is whether Derrick Henry is playing. Last season, the King racked up 937 yards and ten touchdowns before suffering an injury that forced him to miss several games. He returned for the playoffs but wasn’t much of a factor. If he isn’t playing at a high level at the end of the 2022 season, the Jags might just have a chance to pull off the upset. That would be a great way to finish the year for the second time in a row.
