The Jaguars could take the Colts’ spot in the rankings.

How good are the 2021 Indianapolis Colts? Just like the Jaguars, they went 0-3 in the first three weeks of the season but went on to win three of their next four. They split the last two matchups and are 4-5 ahead of Week 10.

Of course, many teams like the Lions, the Texans, and even the Jags would like to spot a record like the one Indy holds. However, all their wins have come against teams with losing records. Sure a win is a win but it’s fair to wonder how the Colts will fare in the following weeks. More specifically, how much of a challenge will they be for Jacksonville in Week 10?

Last season, they won 11 games with an aging Philip Rivers behind center and pretty much the same team. You would think the addition of Carson Wentz earlier this year would help them get over the hump but that hasn’t been the case so far.

The Colts are favored to beat the Jaguars by 11 points, and rightfully so. Oddsmakers would need to see the Jaguars keep playing at a high level before they make any adjustments to their calculations. Also, the game will be at Lucas Oil Stadium and the Colts have a better overall record. Then again, not many foresaw that Jacksonville would beat the Bills. Could lightning strike in back-to-back weeks? That would be a definite statement that the Jags under Urban Meyer are indeed on the right track.
