The Jacksonville Jaguars could move up in the AFC South soon.

Edge rusher Josh Allen made a blunt statement after the Jaguars’ dominant win over the Bills, “We’re not going nowhere“. He isn’t wrong. Although Jacksonville had won just one game before Week 9, they were mostly close and most of them were decided until the fourth quarter. That’s some pretty good progress when compared to last year.

In case you don’t remember (or don’t want to remember), the Jags were not a good team in 2020, and more often than not their games were already decided by the start of the third quarter. Say what you want about Urban Meyer, but the Jaguars have shown growth with him at the helm.

If, and that’s a big if, the Jaguars can keep playing the way they did against Buffalo, they can beat the Colts in Week 10. Although it will be hard for their defense to replicate last week’s dominant performance, they should be able to pressure quarterback Carson Wentz.

Also, Trevor Lawrence should be able to bounce back. He’s made several mistakes in the last two games but it shouldn’t be a cause for concern. Just like most rookie quarterbacks, he’s experiencing a learning curve. Thus, it’s not shocking to see him a couple of steps back in his development.
