We haven’t gotten indications from the Jaguars that they’re planning to part ways with David Caldwell but they should strongly consider it. The general manager hasn’t done a good job of acquiring enough talent and has consistently squandered opportunities to add playmakers or even players that turned out to be Pro Bowlers in the first round of every draft he’s overseen. Cornerback Jalen Ramsey was the exception and he’s no longer with the team.

In the end, owner Shahid Khan has always displayed a huge amount of patience and isn’t known for making emotional decisions, so it’s uncertain if he’s thought about parting ways with Cadwell. In the end, whoever ends up calling the shot will have their work cut off.

One decision the Jaguars general manager will have to make will get regarding wide receiver Keelan Cole. Through his four-year tenure in Jacksonville, he’s been reliable. All in all, he’s played in 56 games and started 19. All in all, he’s hauled in 133 receptions for 1,980 yards and ten touchdowns.
