The Jacksonville Jaguars are coming off a disappointing campaign. Thus it's not surprising that they're not getting much love from the national media ahead of the 2024 NFL season. That said, they have several talented players and not many of them get as much praise as they deserve.

Sure, Trevor Lawrence and edge rusher Josh Allen popped up on CBS Sports' list of 100 players. However, there are other players who won't get nearly as much recognition but will still be pivotal to their success in 2024.

Christian KIrk is one of the most underrated Jaguars players

The Jacksonville Jaguars got plenty of flak for giving Christian Kirk a top-market contract in 2022. Two years later, it's fair to say that they've gotten enough bang for their buck. In his first season in Jacksonville, the former Texas A&M Aggie set new career highs for catches and yards in a season.

Kirk was having another productive year in 2023 before he missed the last four games with a core injury. His absence was notable, as the offense suffered a dropoff. The Arizona native is now healthy and ready to remind everyone of the kind of player he is.

It's worth noting that Kirk is the only Jaguars' starting receiver who's back from last year. The Jags let Calvin Ridley walk in free agency and released Zay Jones after the draft. Having Kirk in the mix will give the passing game a bit of continuity in 2024.

But if he is so valuable to Jacksonville, why does he fly under the radar? It's possible that he doesn't get widespread recognition because he's not a true WR1. While he can play in the boundaries, he's the most effective when he lines up inside. Either way, there's no doubt he's an integral piece of the offensive puzzle.
