Roy Robertson-Harrison is one of the most underrated Jaguars players

After going 1-15 in 2020, the Jaguars made several additions in free agency to increase the roster's overall talent. Three years later, only one of those players remains on board, Roy Robertson-Harris. However you look at it, that deserves recognition, especially when you take into account how much turnover NFL clubs experience on a yearly basis.

Robertson-Harris, an undrafted free agent in 2017, signed with the Jags and immediately became an integral piece of their defensive front. His numbers don't pop off the stat sheet, but he logged a career-best 3.5 sacks in a season in 2023.

Last year, Robertson-Harris started 17 games. With defensive coordinator Ryan Nielsen taking over, he will probably take on a complementary role but he should still get ample playing time, most likely at defensive end.

Brandon Scherff is one of the most underrated Jaguars players

Right guard Brandon Scherff was one of the many players the Jags signed during a spending spree in 2022. While the three-year deal worth $49.5 million he got seemed a bit steep, the front office didn't mind because they needed to reinforce the offensive line and he was one of the best players available at that time.

Scherff arrived in Jacksonville with top-notch credentials. A first-round pick in 2015, he made five Pro Bowls and earned a First-Team All-Pro during his seven-year stint with the Washington Commanders. On the other hand, he hadn't started a full season since 2016, so the signing came with downside. Surprisingly, the former Iowa Hawkeye has not missed a single game the past two seasons. However, he hasn't been nearly as dominant as he was in Washington.

In his defense, Scherff has played through injuries in each of the last two seasons. Furthermore, he hasn't been outright bad. He gave up two sacks and 15 pressures in 2023 after surrendering six and 27 the year prior. If he stays healthy, the right side of the Jaguars' offensive trenches should be in great shape.
