3 dream scenarios for the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2024

• The Jaguars would love it if any of these 3 (hopefully all) came true next season.

The Jaguars will win the AFC South in 2024

The general consensus sees the Houston Texans winning the AFC South in 2024. A silver lining is that the Jaguars are projected to make the playoffs as a Wild Card. Based on how things played out last year, analysts aren't wrong for choosing Houston to seize the division for the second year in a row.

The Texans got to a bit of a slow start, but they became a formidable team once they hit their stride. One big reason was the quick development of quarterback C.J. Stroud, who played like a vested veteran even though he was a rookie. Houston made the most of their chance to make the playoffs and beat the Cleveland Browns. Instead of resting on their laurels, they reloaded in the offseason.

Besides signing marquee pass rusher Danielle Hunter, the Texans traded for four-time Pro Bowl receiver Stefon Diggs. In H-Town, Diggs will join a passing game that includes Nico Collins and Tank Dell. This is to say that Stroud will have no shortage of weapons, and the Texans' defense should be equally stout. Then again, they weren't the only club in the division to load up on talent in the offseason.

Both the Tennessee Titans and the Indianapolis Colts got as many playmakers as they could get their hands on. The former signed wide receiver Calvin Ridley and traded for cornerback L'Jarius Sneed. The latter drafted Adonai Mitchell and re-signed several key contributors such as Michael Pittman Jr. On top of that, sophomore quarterback Anthony Richardson will be at full strength after suffering a season-ending injury in 2023. Before the injury, Richardson flashed immense potential.

On the other hand, the Jaguars stack up favorably against their division foes and nobody should be surprised if they reclaim control of the AFC South in 2024.
