3 dream scenarios for the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2024

• The Jaguars would love it if any of these 3 (hopefully all) came true next season.

Trevor Lawrence cements his spot as one of the top-5 QBs in the NFL

Trevor Lawrence isn't a bad quarterback. In fact, he's shown that he can play at an absurdly high level, but because he hasn't done it on a consistent basis, he doesn't get the praise he deserves. Every now and then, you'll see analysts suggest Daniel Jones or former teammate Gardner Minshew are better than T-Law. Heck, a few talking heads legitimately thought that Zack Wilson was going to be a better passer than him heading into the 2021 draft.

Granted, Lawrence still has to refine some parts of his game. For instance, he needs to do a better job of planting his feet when he throws. But more importantly, he must cut down on fumbling the football. Last year, he had 12 fumbles and lost seven. Although his interception totals went up in 2023, head coach Doug Pederson doesn't seem overly concerned with his quarterback's decision-making.

As a matter of fact, Lawrence took more chances last year because he wanted to overcompensate for the team's shortcomings. It's fair to assume that he'll perform much better with an improved supporting cast around him in 2024.

Besides reinforcing the offensive line in the offseason, the top brass got Lawrence a pair of weapons in Gabe Davis and Brian Thomas Jr. With Christian Kirk and Evan Engram also in the mix, the former Clemson Tiger should have no shortage of weapons in 2024.

Of course, Lawrence will need to get much better protection than he did last year but it looks like the Jaguars have enough depth in the trenches to overcome a few injuries. That wasn't the case last year.

This is to say that the Jaguars have surrounded Lawrence with a well-rounded supporting cast. He'll now need to do his part. He'll need to come up clutch in key moments and shine in the Jaguars' primetime games against the Buffalo Bills and the Philadelphia Eagles. If he does, Steezy Trev will make his return to the conversation about the best quarterbacks in the league.
