4. The Jaguars will slow down the Chargers’ running game, allow 50 yards

The Jaguars struggled to defend the run at times in 2022. On the other hand, they held the Chargers to just 26 yards on 12 carries. Los Angeles had a hard time establishing the run throughout most of the regular season and their struggles should continue in the playoffs.

Although Jacksonville allowed 147 yards to the Tennessee Titans in the season finale, they also limited the New York Jets and the Houston Texans to fewer than 100 yards in Weeks 16 and 17, respectively.

Austin Ekeler, the Chargers’ leading rusher in 2022, had two 100-yard games in the regular season but he was also limited to 50 yards or fewer 10 times, so it’s hard to see him going off against the Jags.

3. Jaguars RB Travis Etienne will have over 100 yards vs. the Chargers

The Jags had difficulties getting their running game going in the second half of the season. However, sophomore Travis Etienne made the most of his chances when called upon. Against the Texans in Week 17, he had 106 yards on nine carries and he should find success against a Los Angeles defense that ranked 28th in the league in rushing yards allowed.

James Robinson had a highly productive outing against the Bolts in Week 3, racking up 17 carries for 100 yards. The Jags will most likely feed Etienne early and often, which should lead to a 100-yard game in Wild Card Weekend.
