No. 4 Jaguars player who has offered almost nothing: Snoop Conner, RB

For a hot minute, the Jaguars had a dynamic backfield tandem in James Robinson and Travis Etienne. Both of them were coming off season-ending injuries, so it was hard to tell how healthy they were going be for the start of the 2022 season. That made the No. 3 running back kind of a big deal and for most of the offseason, it looked like rookie Snoop Conner was going to fill that role.

But then, the Jaguars claimed JaMycal Hasty off of waivers and Cooner was a healthy scratch for most of the season. He was able to make his debut until James Robinson was dealt to the New York Jets. The former Ole Miss Rebel has appeared in two games and has logged a single snap on offense.

Maybe Conner will get more playing time down the road but Jacksonville probably expected more when they made him a fifth-round pick in this year’s draft.

No. 3 Jaguars player who has offered almost nothing: Walker Little, OT

Offensive tackle Walker Little hardly played as a rookie but when he did, he flashed. This is not particularly shocking when you take into account that he was seen as a potential top-10 pick in the draft before suffering an ACL injury in 2019 and opting out of the 2020 college season due to COVID-19 concerns.

With Cam Robinson firmly entrenched at left tackle, Little was given a chance to compete with incumbent Jawaan Taylor for the starting job at right tackle in the offseason but the latter ended up winning. The former Stanford Cardinal has played just 15 snaps this season and won’t likely get many more.

On the bright side, Taylor is scheduled to be a free agent in 2023, so Little might get another shot at seizing a right tackle job next year.
