No. 5 wide receiver the Jaguars could trade for – Robby Anderson.

Here’s one wide receiver that doesn’t garner as much attention as others on this list have but Robby Anderson could also change teams this offseason. D.J. Bien-Aime of New York Daily News recently reported that if Anderson is traded this offseason, the New York Jets would be his preferred destination. However, that doesn’t mean he would be opposed to playing for someone else, somebody like… you guessed it, the Jaguars!

An undrafted free agent in 2016, Anderson joined the Carolina Panthers in 2020 and went on to have his most productive season as a pro, hauling in 95 receptions for 1,096 yards and three touchdowns, which earned him a new two-year deal last offseason. However, the Temple product wasn’t able to recreate the success he had in his first campaign in Carolina and caught just 53 passes for 519 yards and five touchdowns. Furthermore, he logged a carer-low of 9.8 yards per reception.

Anderson has never been an upper-echelon wide receiver but he hasn’t played with a good quarterback. He’s caught passes from Sam Darnold in three of the last four seasons and there’s a chance he could see his production increase with better talent under center, which he would get if he were traded to the Jags.

Not many players would be ecstatic about landing in Jacksonville due to all the losing that has taken place over the last four seasons. Nevertheless, it looks like the Jags have the right man to lead the team in Doug Pederson and he could convince Anderson to join them if he pops up in the trading block this offseason.
