No. 4 wide receiver the Jaguars could trade for – Jarvis Landry.

Odell Beckham Jr. worked his way out of the Cleveland Browns and fellow wide receiver Jarvis Landry could be next.

Landry recently took to social media to talk about the work he had to put in behind the scenes to recover from a high-grade MCL sprain he suffered in Week 2 of the 2021 season. He says he wants to remain in Cleveland but the ball is on “the Brown’s court” and he is determined to win a championship with them or somewhere else. A second-round pick by the Miami Dolphins in the 2014 draft, the veteran wide receiver signed a five-year deal with the Browns in 2018 and is entering the last year of the deal.

Cleveland could free up $14.8 million in cap space and just $1.5 million in dead money if they cut or release Landry. Keep in mind that he was one of their most consistent playmakers from 2018 to 2020, averaging 78 yards and close to 1,000 yards per season, so they might want to hold onto him even if moving on from him would improve their financial situation.

On the other hand, things could change at any moment, and if Landry doesn’t think he’s wanted in Cleveland, he could request a trade. That’s where the Jaguars would come in. There’s no way to tell what kind of compensation the Brown would want in exchange for the former LSU Tiger but it could come down to a third- or fourth-round pick. Jacksonville currently has two third-rounders and they could easily part ways with one if that means acquiring Landry.
