No. 3 Buccaneers free agent the Jaguars can sign – Kevin Minter, LB.

Here’s a disclaimer. You won’t find wide receiver Chris Godwin on this list because he suffered a torn ACL in Week 15 of the 2021 season. And while there’s a good chance he will make a full recovery and return to pre-injury mode, the 2017 third-round pick may not be available by the start of the 2022 regular season, so the Jaguars might be better off acquiring someone that can contribute right away, such as Amari Cooper of the Dallas Cowboys. With that out of the way, Buccaneers linebacker could follow his former position coach to Jacksonville this offseason.

A second-round of the Arizona Cardinals in the 2013 NFL Draft, Minter spent four seasons in the desert. He signed with the Cincinnati Bengals in 2018 and landed in Tampa Bay the following season. The veteran linebacker hasn’t gotten any accolades throughout his nine-year career but he’s the kind of serviceable player every NFL team can benefit from.

Minter has appeared in 123 games with 52 starts and logged 354 total tackles, 27 tackles for a loss, seven sacks, and one forced fumble. He would offer valuable depth to the Jaguars’ linebacker corps and make a few starts if needed. The linebacker signed a one-year contract worth $1.21 with the Bucs last season and could strike a similar deal with the Jags this offseason.
