No. 4 Raiders free agent the Jaguars can sign – Nicholas Morrow, LB.

Here’s another undrafted free agent that worked his way up the Raiders depth chart and went on to become a starter. After joining the Silver and Black in 2017, linebacker Nicholas Morrow appeared in 62 games with 29 starts (11 in 2020) in his first four seasons in the NFL.

In that span, Morrow posted 254 total tackles, 20 tackles for a loss, four sacks, one forced fumble and one interception, which came against New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees in the first game ever at Allegiant Stadium. The linebacker signed a one-year contract to return to Las Vegas in 2021 but suffered an ankle injury in training camp that ended his season before it even started.

Morrow will once hit the open market and may be looking for a one-year, prove-it deal to rehabilitate his stock. He could be a low-key solid acquisition to the Jaguars if he shows he’s 100 percent healthy. Of course, signing the Greenville product would be contingent on the kind of scheme their next defensive coordinator will run, as Joe Cullen will not be returning for a second year, per Field Yates of ESPN.

Also, linebacker Damien Wilson is set to be a free agent and the front office might bring him back, so unless the Jaguars run a 4-3 system, it may not make much sense to target Morrow this offseason.
