No. 4 Jets player the Jaguars must account for – Jamison Crowder, WR

The Jets will be without wide receiver Elijah Moore after placing him on the COVID-19/Reserve list. In fact, the 2021 second-round pick hasn’t suited up since Week 13. Nevertheless, New York will still have enough firepower on offense.

Veteran Jamison Crowder leads the Jets’ wide receivers in receptions with 50. He isn’t a deep threat but he’s as reliable as they come. Cornerback Shaquill Griffin had a down game against the Houston Texans in Week 15. He will need to bounce back and keep Crowder in check if the Jags want to slow down the Jets’ passing game.

No. 5 Jets player the Jaguars must account for – Zach Wilson, QB

Zach Wilson has struggled in 2021. His numbers are unimpressive and he’s not shown enough growth to think he will light up the scoreboard in Week 16. He doesn’t have a great supporting cast (sounds familiar?) and the Jets won’t be at full strength Sunday. Having said that, the Jaguars struggled against another first-year quarterback, Davis Mills, just last week.

Mills was able to move the ball against the Jaguars’ secondary. There’s no reason to think Wilson can do the same based on the way Jacksonville’s defense has played in recent weeks. Their front four will need to pressure Wilson and disrupt his rhythm if they want to slow him down.
