No. 2 Jets player the Jaguars must account for – C.J. Mosley, LB

Linebacker C.J. Mosley’s tenure in the Big Apple hasn’t turned the way he expected. After signing a five-year deal worth $85 million in 2019, he suffered a groin injury and missed most of that year. Then, he opted out of the 2020 season due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

It took two years but Mosley is finally playing the way the Jets envisioned when they acquired him. The 2014 first-round pick has made 13 starts and logged 132 total tackles, two tackles for a loss, one sack, and one forced fumble. For his efforts, he was just named a Pro Bowl alternate. The linebacker missed Wednesday’s practice with a back injury but there are no signs he will miss Week 16. At least not yet.

No. 3 Jets players the Jaguars must account for – Quinnen Williams, DT

The Jets’ pass rush will be severely depleted Sunday, as defensive linemen Folorunso Fatukasi and John Franklin-Myers have landed on the COVID-19/Reserve list. It will be up to Quinnen Williams to pick up some of the slack. Williams and Franklin-Meyers have logged six sacks each this season but the latter has logged a team-high 45 pressures while the latter has tallied 31. Williams will line up opposite left guard Andrew Norwell. This will be a key matchup Sunday.
