5. Jaguars player that must shine vs. the 49ers – James Robinson

To say the Jaguars missed running back James Robinson in Week 9 is an understatement. They still won and Carlos Hyde is a fine player but the offense is better when Robinson is in the backfield. The former Illinois State Redbird hurt his heel against the Seahawks in Week 8 and sat out the following game.

The Jaguars’ offense wasn’t the same without Robinson and he was limited against the Colts, getting just 12 carries and playing 59 percent of the team’s offensive snaps. Head coach Urban Meyer said the sophomore running back is listed as questionable ahead of their Week 11 matchup but it would be surprising if he doesn’t play. In fact, he may see his workload increase. On Monday, Meyer described him as a tough cat that is currently fighting through some stuff other players wouldn’t probably fight through.

On Wednesday, Robinson was a limited participant in practice and Meyer says he still hasn’t recovered from the heel injury. The Jaguars will need him if they want to have a chance to pull off the upset.
