Jacksonville Jaguars waiver wire target No. 2 – WR Travis Fulgham

The Jaguars have a well-rounded wide receiver corps even after parting ways with sophomore Collin Johnson, Phillip Dorsett, and Laquon Treadwell. Despite the fact that the team’s brass could sign Johnson or Treadwell to the practice squad, they should also consider giving Travis Fulgham a look.

A sixth-round pick by the Detroit Lions in 2019, Fulgham was waived before the start of the 2020 season. He spent a few weeks with the Green Bay Packers before joining the Philadelphia Eagles. The Old Dominion product wasn’t much of a factor in his rookie campaign, appearing in just six percent of the Lions’ offensive snaps.

However, Fulgham became a key cog on the Eagles’ offense from Week 4 to Week 8 the following season. In that stretch, he hauled in 29 receptions for 451 yards and four touchdowns. Nevertheless, the former Monarch saw his usage go down as the season went on, and caught just nine receptions for 104 yards with no touchdowns in the following eight weeks.

With DeVonta Smith, Quez Watkins, and Jalen Reagor at the top of the Eagles depth chart. Fulgham became the odd man out. The third-year wide receiver already showed he can be a difference-maker. Although he wouldn’t get a chance to make the Jaguars’ roster, he could continue working on his craft as a member of the practice squad.
