Jacksonville Jaguars duds from Week 3 of the preseason.

It was difficult to find duds in the Jaguars’ 34-13 but there are a few players that could have played better.

1. Every running back not named Devine Ozigbo

James Robinson racked up three carries for ten yards. Then again, the coaching staff wasn’t going to give him a big workload. Carlos Hyde had just one rush for five yards. On the other hand, Dare Ogunbowale and Nathan Cottrell didn’t do much with the carries they got, toting the rock a combined seven times for a measly eight yards.

If you omit Devine Ozigbo’s carries, the Jaguars ran the ball 14 times for 21 yards. Even though it was nice to see the Jags move the ball and put points on the scoreboard, they need to run the ball more efficiently, something they often failed to do in all their preseason games.

2. Wide receiver Collin Johnson

Surprisingly, Collin Johnson was a non-factor. In fact, he was the only wideout targeted at least once that didn’t register a catch. It’s unlikely that the team’s brass will give up on him after one bad performance but it was telling that he didn’t do much in a game in which the Jags’ quarterbacks had no trouble getting the ball to the receivers.

3. Safety Andrew Wingard

Safety Andrew Wingard diagnosed a throw even before Cowboys quarterback Cooper Rush pulled the trigger but ultimately dropped a sure interception. Will this affect his chances of making the team? It’s hard to tell but he could have been the Jaguars’ hero on the defensive side of the ball on a day in which they didn’t log any interceptions.
