The Jacksonville Jaguars have a formidable linebacker corps.

Here’s a look at all the linebackers listed on the Jaguars’ roster, per the team’s official website:

  • Damien Wilson
  • Dakota Allen
  • Myles Jack
  • Joe Schobert
  • Josh Allen
  • K’Lavon Chaisson
  • Shaquill Quarterman
  • Chapelle Russell
  • Quincy Williams

Not long ago, the Jags placed undrafted rookie Dylan Moses on the Active/Non-Football Injury list. The Alabama product suffered a torn ACL in 2019 and played most of the 2020 season with a knee injury. If he manages to stay healthy, he could develop into a solid NFL starter. For the time being, he’s a developmental project.

The team’s brass also put linebacker Leon Jacobs on the Active/Physically Unable to Perform list. The 2018 seventh-round pick started two games and appeared in two in 2020. However, a knee injury cut his season short. His absence could open the door for other players to make an impression in training camp.

Dakota Allen spent time with the Los Angeles Rams, Las Vegas Raiders, and the New York Giants before joining the Jaguars in 2019. The 2017 seventh-round pick made his first career start last season. All in all, he appeared in 13 games with two starts and posted eight total tackles and three tackles for a loss.

The Jags signed Chapelle Russell off waivers this offseason. The 2020 seventh-round pick spent his rookie years with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He appeared in 11 games but registered no stats. He joins a group that also includes Quincy Williams and Shaquill Quarterman. The former was a third-round pick in 2019 and the latter was a fourth-round selection last year.

Russell, Williams, and Quarterback are on the fringe ahead of training camp and will have a hard time making the 53-man roster.
