1. Tim Tebow will remain on the Jacksonville Jaguars roster in 2021.

Tim Tebow has gotten the national spotlight anywhere he’s played. Things haven’t changed when he signed with the Jaguars earlier this year. He’s currently trying to make the transition from quarterback to tight end, which isn’t totatlly unheard of. Not long ago, Logan Thomas took a similar career path and things have pretty much worked out in his favor.

The difference is that Thomas made the switch early in his NFL career and once he realized he wasn’t going to cut it as a quarterback. At the time, he was 25 while Tebow is currently 33. Former NFL head coach and analyst Eric Mangini believes it’s too late for the former Gator to successfully pull the transition. On the other hand, he acknowledges that having Urban Meyer as a head coach will increase his chances of making the team.

Meyer says Tebow will have the same treatment other players get but there’s a chance the Jaguars head coach already earmarked a roster spot for him. Meyer knows quite well from his time at Florida and is aware of his strengths and weaknesses. Tebow might not even have a role as a true tight end and will have special packages crafted for him.

Tebow would really have to struggle for Meyer to pull the plug on the experiment. He’s been working hard and putting his head down for the time being. Do you remember how everyone knew the Jags would pick Trevor Lawrence with the top pick in the draft? Tebow making the Jags’ roster has a similar feel.
