Can the Jacksonville Jaguars win three consecutive games in 2021?

Next, the Jaguars will welcome the Denver Broncos at TIAA Bank Field. Just like Houston, the Broncos aren’t set at quarterback. Drew Lock, a 2019 second-round pick, has been underwhelming over the last two years and will have to compete for the starting job after the Broncos traded for Teddy Bridgewater.

Another thing working against the Broncos is their dearth of skill-position players. Melvin Gordon III is a fine running back but far from elite. Wide receiver Jerry Jeudy showed flashes in his rookie campaign but needs to cut down on the drops. Tight end Noah Fant was a first-round pick in 2019 but hasn’t developed into a playmaker. The Jaguars’ offense should get the better of the Broncos’ defense, so they won’t lose this one either.

The Jaguars will host their second home game of the year against the Arizona Cardinals in Week 3. Since head coach Kliff Kingsbury took over, the Cards have steadily improved. In 2020, quarterback Kyler Murray had a relatively down season after earning the Offensive Rookie of the Year Award in 2019. However, he should take another step in his development. This won’t bode well for the Jaguars’ secondary even after all the offseason additions they made to the back seven.

This may be the Jaguars’ toughest matchup in the first quarter of the season. The Cardinals are the superior team and will hand them their first loss of the year. On the off chance they don’t…
