2) Buffalo Bills vs Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 9

Along with the Los Angeles Rams, the Buffalo Bills may be the most formidable opponent in the Jaguars’ schedule this year. While the Rams fell to the Green Bay Packers in the divisional round of the 2020 playoffs, the Bills made it all the way to the AFC Championship, and they should pick up where they left off last year.

Although it took quarterback Josh Allen a while to find his footing in the NFL, he broke out in 2020, completing 396 of 572 pass attempts for 4,544 yards and ten touchdowns. Buffalo showed how important it is to exercise patience when it comes to a quarterback’s development. Also, they made sure they surrounded him with enough playmakers such as wide receiver Stefon Diggs and a solid defense.

While Buffalos’ defense ranked 14th in points allowed in 2020, they were the second-best unit the season before, so they will pose a difficult matchup for the Jaguars’ offense if they bounce back. Even if the Bills take a step back in 2021, which isn’t likely, they will still be a tough team to beat.

On the bright side, this will be an actual home game (not like the one against the Dolphins) for the Jaguars. By the time this matchup takes place, this Jacksonville team should have had a clear identity, and beating the Bills would go a long way towards showing the Jags are on the right path.
