The Jacksonville Jaguars need to add another linebacker.

If the Jacksonville Jaguars want to sign an impact linebacker in the open market, they should target someone like K.J. Wright of the Seattle Seahawks. On the other hand, if they want to prioritize other position groups but still add one in the open market, they should pursue Eric Wilson.

Originally an undrafted free agent in 2017, Wilson steadily worked his way up on the Vikings’ defense and became a full-time starter in 2020. In his four-year career, he’s started 25 games and racked up 234 total tackles (18 for a loss), and eight passes defensed, three interceptions, two sacks, and two forced fumble.

Keep in mind most of Wilson’s production came last season when he started 15 games and amassed 122 total tackles, three sacks, eight pass deflections, and his three interceptions. Although the Cincinnati product may not garner as much demand as Wright or Buccaneers linebacker Lavonte David in the open market, there will likely be demand for his services.

The Jaguars already have Joe Schobert and Myles Jack on the roster, but Wilson could round out their linebacker corps and turn it into one of the team’s most complete units.
