The Jacksonville Jaguars should make this one happen.

If you read B&T often, we appreciate it and thank you for it, but you may have also noticed we have talked about Allen Robinson coming back to Duval more than one time. This is not because the wide receiver happened to play for the Jaguars. Rather, he’s going to be the best wide receiver available in the open market, Kenny Golladay notwithstanding.

Robinson has hauled in 255 receptions for 3,151 yards and 17 touchdowns in his three-year tenure in Chicago in spite of Mitch Trubisky’s inconsistency at the quarterback position. Back with the Jaguars in 2015, he caught 80 passes for 1,400 yards and 14 touchdowns, so the team knows what he’s capable of and a job interview may not be necessary.

Although ‘A-Rob’ may ask for premium compensation in the open market, the Jaguars shouldn’t hesitate to unload whatever amount he wants. It’s true they have other more pressing needs and the wide receiver could be an unnecessary luxury. However, the former second-round pick would take their wide receiver corps from good to one of the best in the league.

The ‘Jags’ already let Robinson get walk away once. Now they have the chance to stop talking about him as the one that got away and start thinking about how improved their offense would become with him wearing Black and Teal once again.
