The Jacksonville Jaguars keep building their coaching staff and are getting ready to start rebuilding the team. However, as much as better coaching will help, the ‘Jags’ will also bring in a few playmakers this offseason. After all, their lack of talented players played a role in their 1-15 record last season.

While the NFL Draft will be the Jaguars’ principal means to add difference-makers, free agency will also be an important tool in their rebuilding process. They are projected to have $73 million in cap space and will be able to sign a few big-name players in the open market without breaking a sweat.

In their search for potential free-agent talent, the ‘Jags’ could look at the Detriot Lions, who just like them, are starting from scratch. Coming off a 5-11 record, they moved on from Matt Patricia and hired Dan Campbell as their new head coach. Moreover, they traded quarterback Matthew Stafford for two first-round selections and Jared Goff.

It’s uncertain how many of their own players the Lions will keep but Jacksonville should pay close attention and target these three in case they hit the open market.
