Does it make sense for Jacksonville Jaguars to trade for Deshaun Watson?

Deshaun Watson would get a fresh start with the Jacksonville Jaguars.

When Deshaun Watson heard the news the Texans were hiring Nick Caseiro as their general manager, he tweeted (and promptly deleted) ‘some things never change‘.  Before that, he advocated for the Texans to hire Kansas City Chiefs offensive coordinator Eric Bienemy as the head coach, but his plead went ignored, per Albert Breer of Sports Illustrated.

It’s currently uncertain what Watson’s main source of frustration is, but Houston can’t afford to make their franchise quarterback unhappy. This isn’t even a diva kind of situation, based on what’s been reported, it seems like they don’t make him feel wanted.

While no team should enable its franchise quarterback, Watson is the face of the organization and should have a prominent voice. He’s arguably the best player on the roster and instead of giving him everything he needs to succeed, they are putting roadblocks in his way.

Last season, Houston traded All-Pro wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins for a ham sandwich. They don’t have any first or second-round selections in 2021’s draft and are currently $17.8 million over the cap. To add insult to injury, their defense isn’t getting younger and the roster is in dire need of upgrades.

Would you blame Watson for wanting out of ‘H-Town’?
