Most disappointing Jacksonville Jaguars player: Taven Bryan

Nobody likes to see players fail to live up to expectations or struggle. Nevertheless, it’s part of the business and it’s unlikely the Jaguars’ brass projected defensive tackle Taven Bryan to be a non-factor when they used the 29th overall selection in 2018’s draft.

Heading into the 2020 season, there was hope Bryan could break out, but rookies DaVon Hamilton and Doug Costin ended up outperforming him. It may be time for the team to move on from the Florida product, but this is not the way the team would’ve wanted things to play out.

Most improved Jacksonville Jaguars player: Cornerback Sidney Jones

Cornerback Sidney Jones‘ career never really took off with the Philadelphia Eagles and if you called him a bust after his subpar three-year tenure in the ‘City of Brotherly Love’, nobody would’ve batted an eye. However, the Washington standout quickly became a key cog in the Jaguars’ secondary and played some of the best football in his career.

Unfortunately, injuries derailed Jones’ season and he ended up missing four games. The organization will have to make many decisions in the offseason, one of them will be whether they will re-sign the cornerback or not. Based, on how he played in 2020, that should be a no-brainer.
