Jacksonville Jaguars Offensive Rookie of the Year: James Robinson

Undrafted free agent James Robinson wasn’t just the Jaguars’ most dynamic rookie, he was among the best running backs in the NFL. Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert or Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson will likely earn the Offensive Rookie of the Year Award, but the Illinois State was without a doubt one of the best first-year players in the NFL this season.

Jacksonville Jaguars Offensive Player of the Year: Center Brandon Linder

Other than maybe Corey Linsley of the Green Bay Packers, there may not be a better center in the NFL than Brandon Linder. Yes, there may be a bias in play, but Linder has been one of the few, if not the only, bright spots in the Jaguars’ offensive line this season.

This Jacksonville team allowed 44 sacks this season, but the center gave up just one of them. Regardless of the moves the organization makes in the offseason, Linder should be part of its long-term vision.

The Jaguars’ brass felt comfortable enough with James Robinson carrying the load that they parted ways with running back Leonard Fournette before the season started. Their trust wasn’t misplaced and the rookie finished the season with 240 carries for 1,070 yards and seven touchdowns.

Meanwhile, Laviska Shenault capped his rookie season with a two-touchdown performance against the Colts in the season finale. All in all, he hauled in 58 receptions for 600 yards and five touchdowns in 2020.
