Here are the first three predictions for these Jacksonville Jaguars.

1. The Jaguars defense will register four sacks.

Back in Week 13, it seemed like the Jaguars’ defense was trending up after registering four sacks, one interception, and one forced fumble against the Vikings. However, the unit has been slowed down in the last two weeks and has racked up just two sacks while allowing a combined 71 points.

Things will change against the Bears offense and this Jacksonville team will register four sacks once again in 2020.

2. Doug Costin will have his first sack of the season.

It’s unlikely that the ‘Jags’ expected Doug Costin to have a prominent role in 2020 when they signed him as an undrafted free agent this past offseason. However, the former RedHawks defensive tackle was pressed into the starting lineup in the middle of the season and been solid for the most part.

This season, Costin has started seven games and registered 27 total tackles (one of them for a loss) and two passes defensed. Nevertheless, he’s still looking for his first sack of the year, and he will get it against a Bears offensive line that has given up 34 quarterback takedowns in 2020.

3. Mitch Trubisky will throw an interception.

This doesn’t look like a bold prediction at first sight, but keep in mind that quarterback Mitch Trubisky has played solid football in the last three weeks, and has thrown just one interception in that span, last week against the Minnesota Vikings.

Jacksonville will make Trubisky’s start a streak and will force him into throwing an interception for the second consecutive week.
