The Jacksonville Jaguars aren’t ready to wave the white flag.

If the season finished today, the Jacksonville Jaguars would hold the first overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft. However, there are still two games to play and the team isn’t planning on just calling it quits. In fact, the scoreboard and the standings may not reflect it, but this is a ‘Jags’ team that is still playing hard for head coach Doug Marrone, who’s previously pointed out he’s interested in winning and not on what the future holds for him once the season ends.

Things aren’t looking too good for the Jaguars heading into Week 16 though. Rookie running back James Robinson hasn’t practiced all week and even though there’s a chance he may play Sunday, the team may be better off resting him, as they wouldn’t gain anything by risking him to further injury.

Sure, there will be a steep drop off in talent if Dare Ogunbowale gets the starting nod against the Chicago Bears, but keep in mind this is a next-man-up kind of situation, and resting Robinson may be in the team’s best interest.

Even if Robinson doesn’t play Sunday, the Jaguars will still have a few talented players on the field that could keep the Bears against the ropes. Here are five bold predictions.
