These former Jacksonville Jaguars went on to become solid players.

Caldwell used 2015’s third overall draft pick on Dante Fowler. The general manager expected the edge defender to become a premier pass rusher and wreak havoc at the line of scrimmage for the Jaguars. Instead, the Florida standout underperformed in his tenure in Jacksonville and ended up getting traded to the Los Angeles Rams after two and a half years.

Fowler went on to register a career-high 11.5 in 2019 and signed a three-year $48 million contract with the Atlanta Falcons earlier this year. While the defensive end is not an elite player, he’s definitely become a solid pass rusher, even if it isn’t with the ‘Black and Teal’.

The Jaguars selected Allen Robinson in the second round of 2014’s draft and he rose to prominence in his sophomore campaign. That season, the Penn State standout hauled in 80 receptions for 1,400 yards, and 14 touchdowns. However, he didn’t reach the 1,000-yard mark in 2016 and missed the 2017 season with a torn ACL.

The Jaguars decided not to bring Robinson back and the Bears offered him a three-year $42 million contract. In 40 games in the ‘Windy City’, the wide receiver has caught 224 passes for 2,730 yards and 16 touchdowns.
