The Jacksonville Jaguars could use Duke Tobin’s solid track record.

Say what you want about the Cincinnati Bengals. They haven’t won a playoff game in decades and were so bad in 2019 that they earned the first overall draft pick last season. However, their director of player personnel has been successful at what he does, acquiring talent.

Duke Tobin was behind the Bengals’ decision to use this year’s first overall selection on Joe Burrow, who was playing at a high level before he sustained a devastating knee injury that will keep him out of the football field for the remainder of the season.

Keep in mind that drafting Burrow hasn’t been the only bright decision Tobin has made. He got the title of director of Player Personnel in 2024 and has selected a myriad of Pro Bowlers in his tenure in ‘Cincy’.

Among some of the players Tubin has drafted in his time at the helm are All-Pro left tackle Andrew Whitworth, cornerback Johnathan Joseph, defensive end Carlos Dunlap, defensive tackle Geno Atkins, quarterback Andy Dalton, and wide receiver A.J. Green.

Tobin has certainly had some misses such as wide receiver John Ross in 2017 and left tackle Cedric Ogbuehi in 2015, but he has constantly provided a stream of talented players to the Bengals roster.
