Keenan McCardell, Wide Receiver

I know Keenan McCardell is well past him prime and has been on the Jacksonville Jaguars coaching staff for some time now, but if you watch him in practice, how he tosses the football around at times and moves with his wide receivers, you almost see the younger side of McCardell come out.

There is only one other wide receiver you can compare McCardell to in his career with the Jaguars, Jimmy Smith. The two were one of the best receiving combinations in the NFL during their time together here in Duval County.

McCardell may have been more important to the Jaguars passing game for the work he did underneath while it was Smith who would sprint down the sideline on the deep route.

The Jaguars have a solid stable of wide receivers this year, but a wizened veteran could make the difference in the passing game.
