3 players the Jacksonville Jaguars should target after the Draft

Sign Marcell Dareus to a 1-year deal
The decision to cut Marcell Dareus wasn’t a big surprise this offseason. He was owed $22M if he was retained for 2020. Given he was injured most of the season, it made sense to part ways with the veteran.
But, when Caldwell said before the start of free agency the team may want to bring him back, then there was a chance this might happen. Of course, it would have to be a reduced rate and would also prove to be a “show me” contract. Dareus’s values to the Jaguars is in stopping the run, something the line could not do once he was shelved for the season with a core injury.
Dareus is still out there in free agency, as he has not signed a deal with another team. He could still help the Jaguars in a rotational situation.
The Jacksonville Jaguars spent the offseason adding Rodney Gunter and Al Woods in free agency, two big bodies that will be used as run stuffers. Also, the team will use Abry Jones and Taven Bryan once again in the middle. Dawuane Smoot played inside and on the edge last season and had six sacks. He could see more time there as well.
Because of his familiarity with the system, I still believe there is a chance Dareus wears a Jaguars uniform this season.
