Draft Isaiah Simmons

I am not sure how this all plays out because the Carolina Panthers could sure use Isaiah Simmons to replace Luke Kuechly in the middle of their defense. If he somehow falls to No. 9, the Jaguars should be prepared to sprint to the commissioner with the pick.

Simmons could be another hybrid player – like Josh Allen – who is always around the ball and can play at linebacker or move back and play safety. He is a ferocious hitter and provides solid coverage skills in following a tight end or running back out of the backfield.

There are many times when I am not crazy about taking a linebacker this high, but he could be another Brian Urlacher-type of a player. That alone is worth possibly moving in front of Carolina to secure his services.
