Round 3: Jaylon Smith, LB Notre Dame

A bit of a risk here but the Jacksonville Jaguars have taken worse right?

Jaylon Smith is first round talent, but with a major leg injury with possible lingering nerve damage, his draft stock took a downwards spiral. He may miss his rookie season or at least significant time during it, but after that, his potential is unbelievable.

Smith could rest his rookie year and let Poz play on the inside another year until the young player is healthy again. Smith is an incredible run defender and is fast enough to drop back into coverage. Perfect fit for the Jags here and Jaguars O-zone writer John Oehser has already said Jaylon Smith won’t make it past the Jags third round pick. If he is still there, expect the Jags to pounce on the opportunity.
