3. Protect the Quarterback

Blake Bortles has shown significant improvement this season and if he wasn’t being sacked so many times, his number would probably be even better. The Jaguars will be  facing a Titans defense that knows how to get to the quarterback, their 27 sacks ranks them in the top 5 in the NFL. Newly acquired rush linebacker Brian Orakpo has done a solid job of rushing the passer all season long, his six total sacks on the season is the 11th most in the NFL this year.

I know that my first key to the game was to feed the ball to T.J. Yeldon and I still stand by that but I fully expect the Jaguars to still try to make some big plays through the air. Allen Hurns and Allen Robinson have been fantastic all season long, in fact, no other team in the NFL has two wide receivers with seven touchdowns.

Next: Fact or Fiction?

This is a huge game for the Jaguars and frankly I will never get over what the Titans did to the Jags in 1999, so what better way to get revenge then getting a huge divisional win at home? I am confident the Jacksonville Jaguars can get their fourth win of the season if they feed T.J. Yeldon the ball, win the field position battle, and protect Blake Bortles. For the record, I am not a fan of the Jaguars’ new gold jersey but if they can beat the Titans by a wide margin then maybe I’ll change my mind.
