3) Nick Marhsall, Cornerback, Undrafted, Jacksonville Jaguars
Nick Marshall just continues to impress the Jacksonville Jaguars. Having player quarterback at Auburn, Marshall has willingly jumped to establish himself as a cornerback in the NFL and prove that his athleticism can translate to a new position.
The decision to change positions was bold and so far it seems to be paying off.
As one of the guys that almost everyone is high on, it will be fun to finally see him take his game onto the field. Marshall is not competing for a starting spot or a major role, but could be an impact depth player in the Jaguars secondary. He’s made it tough to ignore him during training camp, impressing with his development and his poise.
So we’ll finally be able to see him against an opponent outside of practice. This won’t be the critical moment or game for Marshall, but expect him to rise to the occasion. He’s risen to every challenge placed in front of him so far and there’s no indication that he will shrink away from this game.
Will he earn a roster spot? Will he not? These are questions that the preseason will answer for Marshall. So far it looks like he will. It’s up to him to continue to impress, though.
