Todd McShay, Mel Kiper, and Mike Mayock All Have Different Jags Picks in Final Mocks

The biggest names in draft analysis have all come out with a different outcome for the Jacksonville Jaguars in the 2015 NFL Draft.

Todd McShay, Mel Kiper, and Mike Mayock have all released their final picks for the first round of the 2015 NFL Draft and the Jags picks are all torn.

With agreement among the three that quarterbacks Jameis Winston and Marcus Mariota will go one and two overall, the real unpredictable part of the draft begins at number three. Here’s a rundown.

Mike Mayock: Dante Fowler Jr. (Florida DE/OLB)

Mel Kiper: Leonard Williams (USC DT/DE)

Todd McShay: Amari Cooper (Alabama WR)

McShay is the odd man out here, picking the only offensive player of the bunch. Cooper would be a great addition to the Jaguars’ but the build up to the draft has mostly been about the defensive side of the ball for the Jags pick.

Jags picks vary widely, of course, with anybody choosing from Cooper to Fowler to wide receiver Kevin White to outside linebacker Vic Beasley. It’s a pretty messy group overall with no definitive answer for the third overall pick. Leonard Williams is the best player in the draft and should probably get the nod, but it is surprising to see here with only Kiper suggesting that he comes to Jacksonville.

We won’t know what the Jaguars do until general manager Dave Caldwell comes out and tells us, but it is certainly helpful to think of what the experts are saying. The problem is that we simply don’t know if any of this is actually going to go down. Caldwell is known for throwing a curve ball in the NFL Draft and the 2015 NFL Draft promises to be no different. Expect him to take whomever he wants, regardless of what mocks have the Jaguars taking.
