2015 Jaguars Schedule to be Released Next Week
By Luke Sims
The 2015 Jaguars schedule – and the schedules of all the other teams – will be released next week according to Brian McCarthy, the league’s spokesman.
The NFL has released home and away opponents already, so to get you primed for the release next week, take a look at who the Jaguars will be taking on.
Home:
- Houston Texans
- Indianapolis Colts
- Tennessee Titans
- Buffalo Bills
- Miami Dolphins
- San Diego Chargers
- Atlanta Falcons
- Carolina Panthers
Away
- Houston Texans
- Indianapolis Colts
- Tennessee Titans
- New England Patriots
- New York Jets
- Cleveland Browns
- New Orleans Saints
- Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Playing the NFC South, which was easily the worst division in football last year, may be good for the Jaguars, especially if some easier games come early in the season. Playing the AFC East, however, will be tough. The New England Patriots are hot off a Super Bowl, the Jets are tougher than we all give them credit for, and the Bills could really contend in 2015.
The Jaguars will be playing just three 2014 playoff teams (the Pats, Colts, and Panthers) but there are contenders in there. The aforementioned Bills finished over .500 last season and the New Orleans Saints are looking to capitalize on their rapidly shrinking Super Bowl window.
The 2015 NFL Schedule will announce who plays in coveted Sunday Night games, Monday Night games, and Thursday Night games. The Jaguars will once again be playing one of their home games over in London. That game will be on October 25th against the Buffalo Bills. Knowing that and the abysmal record over the last two seasons, it wouldn’t be shocking to see the Jags snubbed from a lot of prime time games in 2015.
