When the Jacksonville Jaguars dropped their schedule for the 2026 season, the biggest takeaway wasn't how tough (or manageable) their schedule was going to be but rather that Trevor Lawrence cut his hair for the announcement. In the end, it turned out to be a ruse, but it most definitely made him the talk of the town for a couple of days.
Lawrence just met with the local media for the first time since the release, and as you had guessed, he was asked about his staged haircut.

Trevor Lawrence talked about his hair at Jaguars OTAs
Trevor Lawrence met with local reporters once Day 1 of OTAs wrapped up, and he talked about the schedule release clip.
"I think our team did a great job with the video. The haircut wasn't great, it didn't look good, but it looked real," Lawrence told reporters (11:59 mark). "So, yeah, I looked... Now I'm not gonna say that, but yeah, I got a lot of texts. My grandma was, she texted me, I got a lot of texts."
Lawrence goes on to say that most youngsters probably didn't fall for the faux haircut, but it could have easily fooled older folks.
"Everyone just, well, it's like each generation is, I think, people like my age typically, they don't really believe it, but then the older and older it gets, it's like they just can't quite figure out the AI and the fakes out there," Lawrence said.
Later in the exchange, Lawrece said that he isn't considering getting a hairdo anytime soon, despite the fact that he's been asked to do so. And in case you didn't catch the original video, or if you want to see it again, you can check it below.
Trevor Lawrence is taking care of business at Jaguars OTAs
Leaving aside the haircut, Trevor Lawrence is already in midseason form. Last year, he got off to a slow start but went on to play like a top-10 quarterback as the year progressed.
Having spent last year learning the Liam Coen system, he now has a better grasp of it, and he can build off their strong finish to 2025. During his conversation with the media, No. 16 talked about how he and his teammates can now focus on the details.
"I think just the opportunity to focus on the details more than just absorbing all the information and just trying to get it on tape and run it, and then make all the corrections. Like last year, it's just a lot more to take in, and your mind is racing a little bit, because you're thinking about a lot. So this year, to have the system down, a bunch of guys that have played together. Obviously, there's a few new pieces, but the majority of us really know it," Lawrence said.
"We can focus on talking about all the details of each route and how it's going to adjust versus certain coverages, and then also making tweaks to the to the concepts into the plays that we already have been like, we've got a handful of things where we've changed them from last year, because running them a full season and seeing what we like, it's better to add on the backside than what we were running."
Trevor Lawrence entered 2025 needing to prove that he was the long-term answer behind center. He passed the test with flying colors. Now, he's doing his best to ensure that there are more questions about his status as a top-10 quarterback in the NFL.
