If you had to pick Trevor Larence from a lineup, you would have no trouble recognizing him because of his majestic hair. NFL quarterbacks tend to have short hair, which is why Lawrence stands out from the bunch. The Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback joined the ManningCast for the New York Jets' bout against the Los Angeles Chargers and his hair got the spotlight.
There were several moments in the simulcast for Monday Night Football. For instance, watching actor Arnold Schwarzenegger feeding a donkey was a blast. However, the best bit was probably the Manning Bros. talking about Trevor Lawrence about his head. This was particularly funny because Peyton Manning has a big forehead and a high hairline.
Lawrence began his appearance by talking about the Jaguars' comeback win against the Bolts in the 2022 playoffs and what he thought when trailing 27-0. Not long after, the conversation changed to his hair, and whether it was better than Justin Herbert's. Manning pointed out that Herbert said Lawrence's hair was better than his but put too much effort into it.
"Trevor, last year, Justin Herbert said your hair was more impressive than his. Justin also said that he does it and I quote, "put that much effort into it". It seems like he's implying that you work too hard on your hair. Now, I don't like to start feuds here on the ManningCast, but please take the opportunity to fire back if you'd like."
Lawrence told the Mannings Herbert has nice hair and didn't want to say anything that could be held against him. Eli Mining then took things to eleven when he brought up the fact that Lawrence grew up looking up to Peyton and the best way to honor him was to get the same haircut as his.
"I've done a lot of research for this interview, and I found that the new apparently wore No. 16 in high school because you grew up watching Peyton in Tennessee and that's all sweet and everything. But what do you think about honoring Payton by getting a haircut like his? And as a courtesy, we're gonna give you a preview when we have a second," Eli Manning said.
Here's a look at how Lawrence would like if he had the same hairdo as Peyton Manning.
It's both bizarre and funny. Lawrence said "I don't even fit on the frame," and added that he'd rather wait for the natural aging process. Not long after, Omaha Productions, the company responsible for the ManninCast, posted this photoshopped picture of Peyton Manning with Trevor Lawrence's hair.
Watching Jaguars QB Trevor Lawrence on the ManningCast was fun
Other topics Trevor Lawrence and the Mannings discussed were the New York Jets' defense and what it was like to stop them last year (the Jags won that game). Later, the Jaguars quarterback said that as much as he likes playing in London, they were a Jacksonville team.
Overall, Lawrence's guest appearance in the simulcast was fun. He was engaging and it was entertaining to see him talk football and random topics. It's also worth noting that he was the first active quarterback to be on the show.
With his appearance on the ManningCast now in the books, Trevor Lawrence and the Jacksonville Jaguars can turn their attention to their Week 10 opponent the San Francisco 49ers.
