It's been an odd weekend around the NFL, and Jaguar Nation just had to endure it. First, the Kansas City Chiefs dominated the Miami Dolphins, paving the way for the Jacksonville Jaguars to move into the potential No. 3 seed. Then, C.J. Stroud and the Houston Texans announced their presence with authority, making a real run at the division the Jags were thought to be running away with. Just when you thought this weekend was over, Trevor Lawrence is coming out of his restful week to get us back into it.

Trevor Lawrence, the talented quarterback for the Jacksonville Jaguars, is set to make a national appearance on the popular ManningCast. This Monday Night Football (MNF) analysis show, hosted by Super Bowl-winning quarterbacks Peyton and Eli Manning, has won two Emmys and is in its third season.

In today's bout, the Los Angeles Chargers and the New York Jets will face off, and the ManningCast will feature Lawrence, along with former California governor and Hollywood star Arnold Schwarzenegger,  and former Jets wide receiver Keyshawn Johnson.

This trio of guests should combine to make for a great ManningCast, however it will be all eyes on Trevor and his flowing locks. Lest we all forget Peyton was Lawrence’s favorite player growing up and the primary reason he wears No.16. Peyton was the Sherrif of the AFC South for a long time, so it’s going to be interesting to see these two together on screen.

ManningCast, known as Monday Night Football with Peyton and Eli, is a unique alternate live TV broadcast of MNF. It is characterized by the engaging commentary provided by the Manning brothers, both former NFL quarterbacks.

The show is produced by Peyton's production company, Omaha Productions, and airs on ESPN2 and ESPN+. The show's concept is to provide a running analysis of the live game, with the Manning brothers sometimes veering off into other interesting topics. This format has proven popular, with the show holding 19 of the 20 spots in ESPN's top 20 most-watched alternate telecasts. Here's a preview of Trevor Lawrence's appearance on the simulcast tonight.

Jaguars QB Trevor Lawrence's Upcoming Appearance

Lawrence is set to appear on the ManningCast during a game between the Los Angeles Chargers and the New York Jets. Notably, Lawrence has a unique perspective on this game: as a starting quarterback, he's already 3-1 against the Chargers and Jets. This includes a stunning performance during last season's AFC playoff game, where Lawrence shook off four first-half interceptions and led the Jaguars to a 31-30 victory.

His appearance on the show is even more noteworthy because Lawrence will be the first active NFL player to appear on ManningCast this season. This comes after a grueling BYE Week for the beloved Jaguars quarterback. With personality plus, it will be fun to see William Trevor Lawrence, the "Hair Apparent", in action and Sunshining all over the broadcast. Will he accurately call a scoring play? All of Duval will be tuned in to find out.
