Jaguars News: Trevor Lawrence believes that he can play on TNF

The Jacksonville Jaguars are going to be playing Thursday Night Football! The world knows that they are supposed to be a good team this year already but they might be in for a treat in this game. This is a chance for them to play very well against a good team in the New Orleans Saints. Nobody else will be on for football fans to watch either. 

The wrinkle all week has been the status of star quarterback Trevor Lawrence. Without him, the Jaguars don’t stand a chance this season which is why they need to be smart. They might be able to pull off a win or two without him but he needs to be healthy in order for this team to be thinking about the playoffs. 

Lawrence is dealing with a bit of a knee issue which has made him questionable all week long. Now, it sounds like we finally might have some clarity on his status going into the day of the game. It is news that all Jaguars fans want to hear.

NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport says that Lawrence is confident that he'll play in this game against the Saints. Who would know better than Trevor Lawrence himself? Probably nobody.

With the luxury of playing in a weaker division, they can be smart with decisions like this. Indianapolis Colts QB Anthony Richardson is out for the season so the team closest to them in the AFC South standings is without their guy so the Jaguars don't have to worry too much about them. They can be patient with their players right now if necessary.

If Lawrence does play, and it sounds like he will, we can all be confident that it is the right decision. The Saints are a good football team too which means that if he does play and plays well, beating them would be a solid victory.

The Jaguars got off to a slow 1-2 start this season but haven't lost since. Winning this game would go a long way in making people realize they are for real. A 5-2 record is very good and Lawrence would love to be there to help them make it happen.
