Jacksonville Jaguars need to keep the good vibes going for Florida sports
Florida sports have taken a turn for the better over the last handful of years. It started with the Tampa Bay Rays reaching the World Series in 2020.
Even today, the Rays are one of the best teams in Major League Baseball. They are one of the heavy favorites to win the American League and potentially the World Series. Even the Miami Marlins are playing well above expected and could make it to the playoffs this year.
Tom Brady went to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and won the Super Bowl in year one back in 2020. They were a very good football team in each of his years there as well.
Even the Miami Dolphins are all of a sudden looking like a good team in the AFC East. They were in the playoffs last year and believe they will be in there once again this year.
Florida sports have kept the good vibes going into 2023 as well.
Here in 2023, the Miami Heat made it to the NBA Finals after coming up just short in 2022. They were eventually defeated in the championship but should be right back in the mix again next year.
In the NHL, a Florida team has been in the Stanley Cup Final for four straight years. The Tampa Bay Lightning won it in 2020 and 2021 before becoming the runner-up in 2022.
For 2023, the Florida Panthers made a miracle run to the Final but were defeated. All in all, however, these teams from Florida have mostly been awesome.
That brings us to our Jacksonville Jaguars. Usually the laughing stock of the NFL, they started 2-6 last year before going on a run that allowed them to be the AFC South champions.
They also went on to win a playoff game after going down 27-0 in the game. It was one of the greatest playoff comebacks in NFL history. The eventual Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs took them down but the Jaguars can be content with playing a team that elite very closely.
Now, the Jaguars will be looking to keep those good vibes going this year. With all of the positivity that has been surrounding Florida sports, they can be one of the teams that keep it going.
