1. Michael Thomas, WR, Saints

In the late 2010s, there was no receiver as dominant as Michael Thomas. You could argue that Stefon Diggs and Tyreek Hill were equally productive but neither won the Offensive Player of the Year Award like Thomas did in 2019. Then again, Hill is still playing at a high level, which takes us to the next point.

Hill remains at the top of the game while injuries have rendered Thomas ineffective. After his OPOY campaign, he's totaled just 95 receptions for 1,057 yards with four touchdowns. Hill had more yards last year than Thomas had the past four years, that's how far he's fallen from grace. To make matters worse, he hasn't taken his decline well and has instead resorted to getting into online spats with beat writers.

As recently as last year, there was a chance Thomas would bounce back. Even if he wasn't the same playmaker he was early in his career, the Saints kept him around in hopes he would have some juice left. He didn't and is now a free agent.

The Jaguars need help at wide receiver with Calvin Ridley leaving in free agency but the one player they should stay away from is Thomas. Even if he managed to stay healthy (and that's a big if), the Jags are betting off looking for Ridley's potential replacement in the draft. At No. 17, they should be able to land one of the top prospects in the class.
