2. Denver Broncos

The Denver Broncos would seen like an odd team to target Danielle Hunter for a handful reasons. The biggest one is that they'll have to eat up a massive $85 million in dead money after pulling the plug on the Russell Wilson experiment. You have to give them credit though. Coach Sean Payton tried to make it work out, and when it didn't, they cut their losses instead of doubling down on the mistake.

So with Wilson in the rearview mirror, the Broncos will try to retool a roster that is need to upgrades. The trouble? Trading for Payton and Russ left them without many top draft picks, so they have to get creative to make a couple additions in free agency. Working in their favor is that they can quickly get up to $50 million in space if they made a few restructures and trade Jerry Jeudy.

Once Denver creates space, they can be active in free agency. Besides the quarterback position, one area general manager George Paton must prioritize is their front four. Nick Bonnito dealt with a knee injury at the end of the 2023 season but even if he's 100 percent, the Jaguars will need reinforcements, and there may not be a better one out there than Danielle Hunter.

The Broncos defense got off to a dreadful start last season but once they hit their stride, it kept them in games and even put them in a position to compete for a playoff spot. Having Hunter in the mix would most definitely give them a better fighting chance in 2024.
