No. 1 Jaguars player we'd save a plate for this Thanksgiving: Trevor Lawrence, QB

If you had to ask a casual NFL to name a Jaguars player, they would probably say Trevor Lawrence. Not only is he the face of the franchise but his long hair makes him stand out from his peers. Heck, you could even spot him from a distance even if he had his helmet on because of his looks.

Lawrence has played a huge role in the Jaguars' turnaround these past two seasons. One of the best quarterback prospects to come out of the draft in recent years, he struggled as a rookie, but that was due to factors beyond his control, more specifically Urban Meyer, who wasn't qualified to run an NFL team. Once the Jaguars ran Meyer out of town, Lawrence began to shine.

The former Clemson Tiger went on to play like a top-10 quarterback at the end of the 2022 season, and he's built on that this year. His stats might not reflect it, but he's consistently putting the team in a position to win games, even if he doesn't post Madden-like numbers. While he has work to do to join the upper-echelon of NFL passers, he should eventually get there. After all, Lawrence had success everywhere he's gone, and that's precisely the reason he would have everyone's attention at the Thanksgiving table.

What's the biggest hurdle he's had to clear in his football career? What makes the Jaguars different from other other challenges? These are questions we'd love answers for.
